It’s all cool at art school

This is the gorgeous Rebecca Merrill, an art student from Stoke Newington. Rebecca’s mastered vintage dressing to perfection, combining unique pieces to create an eclectic and playful look. She wears an Orthodox Jewish hat from the 50’s bought from a charity shop, 1940’s glasses from a charity shop, a 70’s riding jacket, a trade union mechanics dress from the 50’s, boots from Peacocks, a scarf from a charity shop and a 60’s bag bought from a charity shop.

Zainab’s utility look

Stud-ying hard

Leather, studs and neon pink = a hot combo.

Yunus & Eliza

This is Yunus Ascott: artist/jewellery designer extraordinaire and one half of the award winning Yunus & Eliza. I met him and his lovely partner Eliza Higginbottom at the Fashion East Mens Installations during London Collections: Men. Their fantastical jewellery and sculptural designs take influence from theatre and mythology to create beautifully innovative pieces. Take a look at their website here to see their work. One of their rings is already on my Christmas wish list…

Yunus’ Poseidon Ring

His charity shop boots are splattered in paint after he and Eliza cast the sculptural figurehead for the Royal Barge, the Spirit of Chartwell for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. What a royal mess!

The sculptural headpieces were on display at the Fashion East Mens Installations

Feeling all white

An all white outfit is certainly a brave choice for a festival. But mud, ketchup and beer didn’t deter artist Terence from wearing his customised vintage outfit with confidence at Lovebox.
